Korea - Chu Lai container shipping route opened and Groundbreaking of expanding Chu lai – Truong Hai port
(QNO) - The Grand opening ceremony of Korea - Chu Lai container shipping route and Groundbreaking of expanding Chu lai – Truong Hai port was held on 5th August at the Chu Lai- Truong Hai Logistics and Port industrial zone by Truong Hai Auto Corporation (THACO – Nui Thanh district, Quang Nam province).

The event marked a milestone when Ky Ha sea port firstly received directly an over 20,000 ton cargo ship from Incheon (Korea). It is the first step of developing the international shipping route between Quang Nam province and other countries in the world.
THACO has also invested 200 billion VND to expand the wharf and dredge the passage of Chu Lai-Truong Hai port to receive 30,000 ton cargo ships in 2018.
After 14 years of being invested and developed, Chu Lai-Truong Hai port has got some certain achievements. This container shipping route plays an important role in the development of Chu Lai-Truong Hai Port, a port of export in Quang Nam province. It helps not only to decrease freight cost, solve the difficulties of the marine logistics of this port step by step, but also contribute to the investment promotion in Chu Lai zone.

According to Mr Dinh Van Thu, Chairman of the Quang Nam provincial People’s Committee, this shipping route is a great advantage for domestic and international investors to reduce their shipping expenditure, help to lower their products prices, raise the product qualities and trading effects. Quang Nam authority promised to create favorable conditions for THACO’s operation in the coming time.
