About 7km from Tam Ky city (Quang Nam province), the lake is a green space with rich vegetation and a lot of magnificent oases in an immense water region. It is surrounded by casuarina forests, stretching mountains, poetic streams... It can be said that its beauty is not inferior to any famous destinations in Vietnam; so some backpackers call it Maldives Paradise of Quang Nam.

In the lake, there are about 30 islands that are known as Turtle island, Monkey island... The journey to discover this paradise of Quang Nam province takes place on boats. Coming here, visitors can also enjoy the hot water directly spraying out from the lake bottom and the cold water streams around the lake. They have opportunities to experience a spacious green space, discover a rich ecosystem and some historical monuments stretching from Khanh Tho forest to Ky Anh tunnel- one of the famous Vietnam war legends last century.

Phu Ninh lake is suitable for those who love nature with its quietness and gentleness. It is also attractive to those who like fishing and to gastronomists because Phu Ninh carps are very delicious, especially when they are cooked right after being caught from the lake and enjoyed right on boats.

To see all the lake scenery, visitors can choose a point in the road to Tam Lanh commune (Phu Ninh district). The journey will become more interesting if visitors have time contemplate sunset here. Smoke rising into sky from the villages in the distance makes the view a watercolour painting that nature preferentially offers to Quang Nam.
