Quang Nam International Kite Festival 2017
(QNO) - Over a hundred craftsmen from Canada, the United States, Germany, Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea, China and Vietnam will take part in the International Kite Festival 2017 at Tam Thanh beach (Tam Thanh commune, Tam Ky city) from 5-9 June.

According to Vice chairman of the Tam Thanh People’s Committee Le Ngoc Ty, the handmade kites participating in the festival will show the unique and traditional characteristics of their homeland on the sky of Tam Thanh beach. The festival is also the place for the craftsmen to demonstrate their skills of making, decorating and flying kites.
There are also some folk games, sports events and beach games during the festival and lasting throughout the summer.
The International Kite Festival 2017 is part of the activities of the 6th Quang Nam Heritage Festival in June. Besides, an exhibition on the seas and islands of Viet Nam and some performances of Central Vietnam’s traditional folk arts are taking place in Tam Ky city.
Tam Thanh commune, 10km east of Tam Ky city, is known as the first place of Vietnam to have colourful murals painted by artists from several foreign countries.
The murals attract 500 tourists each day to the commune.
