Hoi An ancient town welcomes the 10 millionth visitor

(QNO) - A meeting with the 10 millionth visitor to Hoi An (Quang Nam province) was organized in Hoi An ancient town on May 12 by the Hoi An People’s Committee.

The lucky 10 millionth visitor who buys ticket to visit Hoi An ancient town is  Mrs Nuntira Mekaroonkamol from Thailand via Indochina travel agency. It was the first time she went to Hoi An city. Nuntira Mekaroonkamol said she was very happy to be the 10 millionth visitor to this beautiful ancient town and thanked the city authorities for this meeting.

According to the Director of Hoi An city’s Center for Culture and Sports Vo Phung, the city was well-known as a bustling international trade port in the 16th century. The trading exchanges between the countries with long-standing cultures in the world created the unique values in the city. The restoration and conservation of historical sites, cultural and art values to introduce the beauties of Hoi An city’s land and people have been carried out to attract tourists from both home and abroad.
