Great achievements of Quang Nam's tourism in 2017

(QNO) - Quang Nam gained great achievements in promoting its images to domestic and foreign tourists during 2017, especially in the 6th Quang Nam Heritage Festival and APEC Summit 2017.

According to the report from the provincial Department of Culture-Sports and Tourism, in 2017, the total number of visitors coming and staying in Quang Nam reached 5.3 million (up to 13.7%); total tourism revenue was estimated at 3,860 billion VND (up to 24,5%); social income from tourism was 9,200 billion VND. Particularly, this is the first time Hoi An has welcomed 3.22 million tourists, in which 1.78 million was foreigners.

Besides famous tourism destinations such as Hoi An, My Son Sanctuary, Cham Islands, some cultural products and specialties of Quang Nam were widely introduced such as Co Tu gong music festival, Ngoc Linh ginsengs (Nam Tra My) bringing brand-new tastes to visitors right at the tourism destinations. In addition, many cultural and ecological values in countryside and craft villages were presented. The development also matches with the provincial policies of diversifying destinations in Quang Nam, contributing to make tourism become the spearhead of the province’s economy.
