Japan investors learning about investment opportunities in Chu Lai

At the Quang Nam investment promotion conference in March 2017, the province attracted 33 projects with a total investment capital of 15.8 billion USD. Then, many domestic and international investors came to Quang Nam for their investment surveys. Last year, Quang Nam licensed 87 projects including 70 domestic and 17 FDI projects. Besides, the province carried out marketing strategies to call for investment at forums, conferences both at home and abroad such as in Japan, South Korea, Thailand. Recently, a meeting programme with South Korean investors has been organized in the province. The investors who have been working in Quang Nam announced to widen their investment here. Leader of Panko Corporation and South Korea-Vietnam Friendship Association, Choi Young Joo said his business decided to invest into high-tech agriculture beside garment products.

The Forum of Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) 2017 in Vietnam was really a great opportunity of investment promotion for Vietnam in general and Quang Nam province in particular. At the APEC CEO Summit 2017 with the participation of 2,000 investors and businesspeople, Chairman of Quang Nam People's Committee Dinh Van Thu called for investment in the fields of industry, tourism and services in the locality. Quang Nam province's authorities commit themselves to improving infrastructure, creating favourable conditions to attract investment.
