The delegation from Bhutan works in Hoi An city

(QNO) - The delegation led by Architect Nagtsho Dorji- Head of the Division for Conservation of Heritage Sites, Department of Culture (Bhutan’s Ministry of Home and Cultural Affairs) has just worked with Hoi An city’s Center for Cultural Heritage Management and Preservation (Quang Nam province).

Speaking at the meeting, Ms. Nagtsho Dorji talked about some similarities of cultural heritages between Hoi An and Bhutan. So, the Bhutan’s delegation hoped to exchange experiences in heritage conservation and promotion with Hoi An. In reply, Director of Hoi An city’s Center for Cultural Heritage Management and Preservation Nguyen Chi Trung introduced to his guests Hoi An cultural and historic values and Hoi An Ancient Town- a World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO.

Director Trung shared Bhutan’s delegation experiences in making files to UNESCO to consider and recognize Hoi An Ancient Town as a World Cultural Heritage, Hoi An heritage promotion and conservation. He also offered a document on experience of Hoi An Ancient Town conservation to Bhutan’s delegation. Ms. Nagtsho Dorji, on behalf of her delegation, thanked the representatives of Hoi An city’s Center for Cultural Heritage Management and Preservation for precious experiences. Two sides hoped to continue to strengthen activities of conservation in the coming time.
