Sustainable community-based tourism development in Cam Thanh

(QNO) - Sustainable community-based tourism development project in Cam Thanh village, Hoi An city has just been ratified by the Quang Nam provincial People's Committee.

The project manager is the Hoi An city People's Committee with a total investment capital of 1.5 billion, including 1 billion USD from the Global Environment Fund and 500 million USD from the reciprocal capital by the Hoi An People's Committee. The project aims to develop responsible and experience tourism, improve the staff's capacity in the Cam Thanh communal Board of Tourism Management, build a community model participating in the management of nipa forest and organic agricultural village, create an experimental educational institution to serve the learning and researching environment for students, local residents and tourists to Cam Thanh. The project is from January 2018 to December 2019.
