Positive signals for economic growth

(QNO) - The expansion of most of the enterprises’ investment and production, the launch of many projects, the increase of investment capital in the locality, etc. are positive signals for Quang Nam province’s economic growth.

THACO’s agricultural machinery plant

At the beginning of this year, three bus manufacturing plants with a capacity of 20,000 units per year, the Mazda manufacturing plant with an annual capacity of 50,000 units, the agricultural machinery plant under Truong Hai Automobile Joint Stock Company (THACO), Heineken factory, Vinpearl were put into operation, showing a strong production of the enterprises in Quang Nam. Last year, there were 1,260 newly-established enterprises in Quang Nam. According to Deputy Director of the provincial Department of Planning and Investment Nguyen Hoang Thanh, industrial production in the first three months of this year increased 8.3%, with the key products such as auto, clothing, footwear, and paper.

Chairman of the Quang Nam People’s Committee Dinh Van Thu confirmed the local growth in industry, agriculture, tourism and services as a result of the province’s adjustment of policies for businesses and improvement of competitive capacity in the market.
