World Miss Tourism Ambassador 2018: For sustainable tourism environment

(QNO) - Various activities related to the environment were carried out by more than 50 contestants from different countries and territories all over the world in Hoi An city, Quang Nam province during 3 days of the competition (July 27-30). They transmitted a positive message about environmental protection towards sustainable development to the local people and tourists.

Under the theme “Tourism and Ecology”, The World Miss Tourism Ambassador 2018 was attached to various meaningful activities such as exploring the Co Co river,  delivering decomposable bags and bamboo straws to tourists and people in Cham Islands.

Phan Thi Mo - a Vietnamese contestant said “I think the message about green tourism is very meaningful, especially when we are looking for sustainable development in tourism. Many international contestants have told me that our country is very interesting, so let’s keep the beauty alive”. Wongsasiripat, a contestant from Thailand  said the biggest success of the contest was the sending of the message about sustainable and friendly development to everyone not only in Vietnam but also in every country all over the world. The contest contributed to raising the locals’ and tourists’ awareness of tourism development.

During three days in Hoi An city, the contestants contributed to promulgating Hoianian and Vietnamese traditional cultural values and tourism images to the world.
