Vietnam - Japan cultural exchange
(QNO) - Japanese Cultural Days in Quang Nam will happen in the middle of August with various attractive activities, bringing two cultures – Vietnam and Japan closer together.

According to Deputy Director of the Center for Culture and Sports of Hoi An city Tran Dinh Chau, the highlight of the event is the programme on the Quang Nam’s and Japan’s traditional cultural and arts programme. The ancient Japanese space will reappear in Nguyen Thi Minh Khai street, contributing to reviving Japanese cultural features existing in Hoi An for hundreds of years.

In the framework of the event, there will be a series of activities such as the reappearance of the wedding of Ngoc Hoa princess and Japanese merchant Araki Sotaro in Hoi An port town, the introduction of Goodwill Ambassador - singer Ueno Yuuka, the inauguration of the sanitation at Dong Hiep Park sponsored by Takara Corporation and TOTO (Japan).
In addition, coracle performance, boat racing will attend the event along with the photos exhibition of “Priceless heritage” by French photographer Réhahn, silk weaving, arts and cultural exchange, display of arts and handicraft products in Vietnam-Japan Cultural Space.

At the same time, some other activities will take place in Tam Ky city including a meeting with Japanese investors, discussion about building and developing smart urban area related to environmental protection, seminar on Japanese education, Quang Nam - Japan friendship exchange. The sub-events of the Japanese Cultural Days in Quang Nam and the 16th Hoi An – Japan Cultural Exchange aim to celebrate the 45th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between Vietnam and Japan. It is also to express a long cooperation between Japan and Vietnam in general, Hoi An city and Quang Nam province in particular, especially that of Quang Nam and Japanese individuals and organizations. It is an important turning - point in the cooperation between the two sides, looking forward to a better future.

In the official visit to Japan in June 2017, Prime Minister of Vietnam Nguyen Xuan Phuc and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe issued a joint statement on deepening the strategic partnership between Vietnam and Japan.
