Attracting investment capital from Japan
(QNO) - In the framework of Japanese Cultural Days in Quang Nam, a meeting with Japanese entrepreneurs was held in Quang Nam on August 17 to call for Japanese investment in the province.

Effective FDI projects from Japan
Quang Nam has attracted lots of Japan’s FDI projects including the THACO Mazda plant (the biggest and the most modern Mazda assembly plant in Southeast Asia), the marine container route Hiroshima (Japan) – Chu Lai (Quang Nam province), Suntory PepsiCo, SASAKI SHOKO Viet Nam (manufacturing chochin cage net and other types of net).
According to Deputy Director of the Quang Nam provincial Center for Public Administration and Investment Promotion Tran Van Phuc, over 720 million USD of Japanese FDI capital flows into Quang Nam. All the Japanese projects are effective projects. Kazuo Tsubota – Director of Koto Business Transaction (Tokyo) said he was very impressed by Quang Nam’s development, mechanism, policy and potential. His first field trip to Quang Nam will open a comprehensive cooperation and investment in the future. There will be some seminars to inform about Quang Nam province.
Reportedly, many Japanese enterprises wish to open factories in Vietnam in general and Quang Nam in particular. They will recruit local workers and Vietnamese apprentices who have worked in Japan.
Prospect of investment attraction
The hi-tech and quality of products from Japan’s investors contribute to affirming Quang Nam trade name. On the occasion of the “Japan Cultural Days in Quang Nam”, a meeting with Japanese entrepreneurs was held in Quang Nam on August 17. The event aimed to introduce Quang Nam’s potential, advantages and prior areas of investment attraction including tourism services, automobile supporting industry, hi-tech agriculture and labors training.
Head of the Center for Public Administration and Investment Promotion of Quang Nam Vo Van Hung said more and more Japanese enterprises seek investment opportunities in Quang Nam. It results from the investment promotion of the province.
General Director of Nippon Steel Kohichiroh Abe said Japanese enterprises are impressed by the development of Truong Hai Auto Corporation (THACO), especially Mazda trade name that has been affirmed in Vietnamese market. The advantages of geography, infrastructure, human resources, disciplines and incentive mechanisms in Chu Lai - Truong Hai Auto Machinery Industrial Park have been attractive to Japanese investors. It is the best time to open a long-term cooperation from two sides.
