Quang Nam 2018: Efficiencies in the improvement of business and investment environment

(QNO) - Quang Nam’s efforts to improve the business and investment environment, raise the 2018 provincial competitiveness index (PCI) were shown by the promotion of administrative procedure reform, the PCI and DDCI (Department and District Competitiveness Index) improvement...  In addition, business meetings and dialogues were held more frequently. Business support programs were speeded up. The application of information technology also helped increase the effectiveness of spreading policies and solutions to the improvement of the business and investment environment... All of them contributed to creating an effective business and investment environment for Quang Nam business community.

In 2018, there were nearly 7,000 businesses working in Quang Nam. 1,200 businesses were newly set up with a total registered capital of VND 9,482 billion, up 100 businesses compared to 2017. They made major contributions to the provincial budget revenue.

For FDI projects, there were 26 ones licensed with a total registered capital of over USD 300 million.

Up to now,  the total number of valid FDI projects in Quang Nam has been 169. There were 64 domestic investment projects licensed with a total registered capital of more than VND 6,000 billion. Most of them were carried out in the Chu Lai Open Economic Zone, industrial clusters in Duy Xuyen, Thang Binh and Dien Ban districts. Besides, there were some coastal tourism projects.
