Hoi An Memories show was produced by Gami Theme Park, telling the story of the building and development of Hoi An, the busiest trading port in the past Southeast Asia. The show includes 5 scenes- revival, wedding, lights and sea, integration and ao dai (Vietnamese traditional costume) expressing the humanity, romance and temperament of people in Quang Nam. It is really a party of music, lighting in combination of people’s artistic performances and landscapes.
Hoi An Memories show becomes more and more popular with visitors. There are now over 1,000 domestic and foreign spectators every show. As of April 2019, the show will be on twice a day. It is also upgraded every 6 months. As a result, the third edition of the show will be launched in April 2019.
Hoi An Memories show occurs on the largest outdoor stage of Vietnam to be set up in the Hoi An Impressive Cultural Park, in a small island in the Thu Bon River. It holds two Vietnamese records, the largest outdoor stage (with an area of 25,000m2) and the daily art show with the largest number of actors (with more than 500 actors).
After being chosen to show in Times Square, New York, USA, the show received a lot of positive comments from many prestigious news agencies and newspapers worldwide. The Reuters said that Hoi An Memories- an entertainment show quickly became a global phenomenon. The information about the show is now being searched continuously.
According to Deputy Director of Quang Nam Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ho Tan Cuong, Hoi An Memories show has had good effects on Hoi An tourism. It helps lengthen the interval of visitors’ staying in Hoi An.
The show is being upgraded. Hopefully, the image of Hoi An, Quang Nam and Vietnam will be globally introduced and known through the show.
