(QNO) - The opening ceremony of THACO luxury car plant and the debut of Peugeot Traveller model took place in Quang Nam province on May 5. Present at the event were Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry Do Thang Hai and Quang Nam leaders.

After nearly one year of construction, THACO luxury car plant has come into operation with a capacity of 20,000 units a year. It costs VND4.5 trillion and covers an area of 7.5 ha. The plant is equipped with the latest technology by PSA group and assembles luxury European Peugeot-branded automobiles. All the cars must undergo strict inspection via a quality monitoring system connecting directly with Peugeot in France and environmental management system.

On the occasion, the Peugeot Traveller models were introduced, including Traveller Luxury and Traveller Premium.

The Peugeot Traveller Luxury is a seven-seater car, which is the most popular in Asia, Europe and South America. It is equipped with modern technology in a spacious and comfortable space.

Peugeot Traveler Premium is designed with lots of personalized elements. It is elegant, noble and romantic in French style.

Hopefully, the Peugeot Traveller models will meet Vietnamese customers’ demands for luxury automobiles.

According to THACO General Director Pham Van Tai, the Thaco luxury car plant contributes to the development of the automotive industry in Vietnam, helping stabilize the prices of cars in the domestic market.
