Quang Nam in top 10 leading provinces of PCI

After 10 years of construction and improvement of investment environment, Quang Nam has now become a driving force for development and investment attraction, reinforcing the beliefs among businesses.

Reported from the Quang Nam provincial People’s Committee, the total capital of investment and development achieved an average increase of 9.7% a year in the past 10 years. Transport infrastructure has been gradually improved, facilitating enterprises’ trading activities and attracting investment in poor areas.

Chu Lai Open Economic Zone and other industrial clusters have been attractive to investors. The occupancy rate of 7/9 industrial parks and of 55 industrial clusters reached 51.2% and 66.4% respectively.

Moreover, there has been a dramatic increase in labour force and the number of businesses.

Thanks to the renovation in investment attraction policies, Quang Nam has become more and more attractive to investors. The number of 3.500 businesses (with VND 13 trillion) in April 2009 went up to 7000 by the end of 2018, which reached an average pump of 19.6% a year.

In addition, there were 124 FDI projects with a total registered investment capital of over USD 5.1 billion and 569 domestic investment projects with a total capital of more than VND 169,946 billion.

More interestingly, Quang Nam has become one of the provinces and cities with the highest budget revenue of the country that can regulate its budget to the central government since 2017. Besides, the province has joined the club of over VND 20 trillion a year budget collection.

The provincial competitiveness and economic management capacity have significantly been improved, which is showed by the annual PCI.

Quang Nam leaders promised to keep on improving the investment environment, supporting, accompanying, providing businesses with a friendly investment environment, and facilitating all economic sectors.
