Museum of shipwreck antiques

(QNO) - According to the archaeologists, there were 10 ships wrecked in Vietnamese waters. The antiques found in these wrecked ships have historical, cultural and scientific values.

Thousands of the shipwreck antiques excavated by Don Anh Duong company have been displayed in the Museum of Quang Ngai province. They were found in ancient ships wrecked in Binh Thuan province in the 15th century, Ca Mau in the 18th century, Binh Dinh in the 14th century, Cham Islands in the 15th century…This display shows the different shapes and origins of the shipwreck antiques.

The most outstanding collection in the Museum of Quang Ngai is the shipwreck antiques found in Cham Islands (Quang Nam province). In the latest excavation, there were nearly 16,000 antiques including more than 40 different types, mainly Chu Dau ceramics (Hai Duong province). They were famous commercial ceramics of Vietnam in the 15th century. In previous excavations, there were 340,000 antiques discovered in this shipwreck.
