Asia's leading cargo ship arrives at Chu Lai port
(QNO) - A 22,000-ton cargo ship from South Korea has just arrived at Chu Lai port (Quang Nam). It is the largest container ship that has ever made a landfall in Chu Lai port.
The 22,000-ton cargo ship SITC HEBEI made a good landfall in Chu Lai Port (Tam Hiep commune, Nui Thanh district) on August 24. SITC HEBEI is known as a member of one of the Asia's leading shipping lines and one of the top 10 largest shipping lines in the world.
In August 23, the SITC HEBEI, which is 172m long and 27.6m wide, arrived at Chu Lai port. It transported goods to Hoa Phat Steel Company, some enterprises in Quang Nam and VSIP in Quang Ngai.
After loading and unloading cargo, the ship continued its travel to other ports, taking with it Central Vietnamese exports such as Opec plastic beads, fibre, cassava starch, and heat pump condensers.
The landfall of a large vessel proved the capacity of Chu Lai Logistics, creating opportunities for goods exchange globally, promoting import-export and logistics activities in the Central of Vietnam.
Chu Lai Logistics will soon open more international transport routes, cooperating with major shipping lines in the world to enhance imports and exports through Chu Lai port, meeting the needs of enterprises in Central Vietnam, Central Highlands, Southern Laos and Northern Cambodia.
