According to Peter Debrine from UNESCO, cultural heritages are always of global concerns.

Hiromichi Tomoda from Showa Women's University said that the conflict between commercialization-modernization, international integration, tourism development and cultural heritage conservation focused on traditional values and local identity. In some countries of heritages such as Italy, France, Spain, China and Japan, there are specific strategies for global heritage integration and their experience are really useful. Japan is an example for the effective use of heritages in tourism development with a legal system of conservation.

Head of UNESCO Office in Vietnam supposed that two world cultural heritages in Quang Nam, Hoi An and My Son, have been preserved and promoted effectively for 20 years. Those achievements show the role of international integration; however, there are still challenges and difficulties.

Global concern

Heritages in global integration need studying scientifically and frequently to identify their own values and find out the best methods for their conservation. As a result, the heritage management becomes effective, helping the heritages maintain their typical values.

Besides collaboration for heritage conservation, international integration helps exploit heritages effectively, promote and develop heritage values sustainably. The problem of plastic waste in heritage environment is also of global concerns because it threatens heritage values and existence. As a result, “no plastic waste” is now a trend in the heritage tourism world.
