With the support from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the experts from the Truong Son Xanh (Green Annamites) project carried out some surveys on forest biodiversity to protect elephants from being injured and prevent them from damaging villagers.

Until now, the USAID has supported Quang Nam with SMART tools in forest patrol and supervision. As a result, the Truong Son Xanh project in collaboration with the Quang Nam provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development officially identified 8 elephants in the protected areas in Quang Nam.
