Using drones for plant protection
A performance of aerial application to pesticides has recently taken place at Vinh Xuan hamlet (Binh Trung commune, Thang Binh district).
Vinh Xuan hamlet is one of 4 pilot places in Central Vietnam where aerial application to pesticides is performed. Drone has been applied widely to agricultural production in several countries around the world.
It helps spray pesticides accurately and effectively, minimising environmental pollution due to pesticide residues, freeing labours and reducing bad impacts of pesticides on farmers’ health. A drone can complete 25ha a day.
According to Director of the Quang Nam Agricultural Extension Centre Vo Van Nghi, the technology helps spray pesticides better, meeting famers’ needs in the context of farming nowadays.
Hopefully, using drones and other high-tech applications on the field will help Quang Nam agriculture develop better and more effectively.
