THACO also plans to provide all Kia products manufactured in Vietnam for the Myanmar market, including Cerato, Soluto, Sedona and Seltos.

80 Kia Soluto cars produced at the THACO Kia factory in the Thaco-Chu Lai Industrial Park in Quang Nam were shipped to Myanmar on August 26, 2020.

The shipment marks the third batch of locally-produced passenger cars that THACO has exported to Myanmar since last December. It also helps THACO realize the target of a manufacturing and exporting hub for Kia Motors in the ASEAN region.

At present, the THACO’s partner is Super Seven Stars Motors Industry Co Ltd (SSS), who is responsible for distributing THACO’s Kia cars in Myanmar.  Thanks to a variety of designs, good quality and reasonable price, THACO’s Kia cars are more and more popular with people in Myanmar.

The first shipment THACO exported to Myanmar was 120 Kia Cerato cars and happened in late 2019. The second came in May 2020 when THACO continued to export 80 Kia Cerato cars to this market and received positive feedback.

Kia Soluto is a new design that is very popular with Vietnamese customers. It is equipped with a new 1.4L Kappa engine, including two versions: manual and automatic gearboxes.
