Potential of Tay Giang tourism
The Quang Nam Tourism Association has just done a survey into Tay Giang to find out tourist attractions for sustainable development.
Typical characteristics
During the 2-day survey, the association visited Fokienia forest and Axan terraced field, enjoyed the Co Tu gongs festival, and experienced the OCOP programme in Tay Giang. All of them are considered as Tay Giang potential for tourism development.
According to Director of Indochina Unique Tourist Co., Ltd Nguyen Son Thuy, the Fokienia forest and Co Tu cuisine are Tay Giang typical features. Besides, several OCOP products will become unique souvenirs for visitors.
Co Tu traditional culture and the locals’ hospitality and warmheartedness are what makes Le Ngoc Thuan (Deputy Chairman of the Quang Nam Tourism Association) interested and impressed. He desires to develop Tay Giang tourism but maintain the local traditions and the ecosystem there.
Investment attraction
The investment attraction to Tay Giang tourism has not been effective yet. The locality finds it difficult to have new tourist attractions, to deal with the infrastructure synchronization, to qualify human resources, and to do tourism promotion.
Finding a lot of potential for tourism development there, the association will return to counsel Tay Giang about how to attract investment and develop tourism sustainably.
