Giving a speech at the conference, Vu Duc Dam mentioned the significance of tourism linkages between localities and the restructuring of the tourism market with due attention to domestic tourists.
Along the same lines, tourism experts believed that the linkage between provinces, cities and regions is one of effective solutions for tourism development.
With the experience of tourism linkages, Ho Chi Minh city suggested a connection between Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh city and the Vietnam key economic region including Binh Dinh, Quang Ngai, Quang Nam, Da Nang, and Thua Thien-Hue.
It is considered as a significant tourism linkage, creating inter-regional tourism products, contributing to the development of tourism in localities.
On the basis of tourism linkages, there will be stimulus programmes and the exchanges of tourist markets; thereby, local unique tourism products will be exploited, helping increase the number of domestic visitors to localities.
