Support for Lao students
(QNO) - Nearly 130 Lao students studying at Quang Nam University have not come home for 2 years due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Warmth and friendliness
So, the programme of connecting Vietnamese arms organised by the Quang Nam provincial Association of Journalists and the Women’s Union of the Provincial Border Guard gave them some support so that they can overcome the difficulty, keeping their mind on their study.
Lao students feel homesick because they have not been allowed to come home for two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
However, the university, its departments and other provincial organisations have given them a lot of support in order to facilitate their studying and living activities.
Mina Thalangsy, a student from the Department of Foreign Languages (Quang Nam University) said that she felt happy and warm about the programme.
Coming to Lao students at Quang Nam University, the programme connecting Vietnamese arms also offered them advice and encouragement.
Besides, the programme talked about the friendly relations between Vietnam and Laos, Quang Nam province and Lao localities.
Earlier, the programme of connecting Vietnamese arms visited Lao students at Pham Van Dong University and Dang Thuy Tram Medical College in Quang Ngai province.
Encouragement to Lao students
According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Trong Duong, Rector of Quang Nam University, Lao students have faced a lot of difficulties in the context of Covid-19, especially online learning.
So, the university has always been providing them with help, support, and encouragement.
The programme of connecting Vietnamese arms was really significant for Lao students in this period, helping them to get over obstacles caused by the Covid-19 pandemic to keep their study on.
Chairman of the Quang Nam Association of Journalists Le Van Nhi said that the association would continue to give Lao students more help and support in the time to come. He also wished Lao students to get well and have good study results.
