Expansion of industrial clusters and parks in Quang Nam
(QNO) - Quang Nam identifies industrial development as a key to the provincial economic development.
According to the provincial plan by 2030, with a vision to 2045, there will be 20 thousand more hectares of industrial clusters and parks in Quang Nam.
There are currently 13 industrial parks and clusters in Quang Nam. 10 of them are of the Chu Lai Open Economic Zone.
The expansion projects of Tam Thang Industrial Park and Truong Hai- Chu Lai Mechanical Automobile Industrial Zone have been approved by the Government of Vietnam.
At the same time, a proposal for three new industrial parks has been submitted, including Nam Thang Binh (499.43 hectares), Bac Thang Binh (239 hectares) and Phu Xuan (108 hectares).
Up to now, the infrastructure of industrial clusters and parks in Quang Nam has been improved.
So, a lot of secondary investment projects (150 local and 73 FDI projects) have come to Quang Nam, providing jobs for local employees, making a significant contribution to the provincial budget.
In the difficult time of Covid-19, the industrial parks and clusters in Quang Nam still ran well despite a lot of challenges, creating 55,000 jobs in the province.
Quang Nam is making plans for its long-term, sustainable industrial development.
When the industrial clusters and parks comes into operation, Quang Nam will identify the key or spearhead industries in investment attraction.
To develop eco-industrial parks and clusters, the province will give priority to projects with high content of science and technology which are environment- friendly.
