Thaco donates medical equipment for Covid-19 treatment to Quang Nam
(QNO) - THACO (Truong Hai Auto Corporation) presented Quang Nam with medical devices to treat severe Covid-19 patients on March 23.
The 11.3-billion-VND equipment includes a system of centralized liquid oxygen and compressed air that can provide oxygen for 20 ICU (intensive care unit) beds, 50 patients in need and operating rooms; 12 hemodialysis machines; RO water purification system for artificial kidney; one multi-function operating table; two 6-channel ECG machines; 20 multi-function electric ICU beds; 20 portable suction machines, and 2 procedure lights.
All equipment is installed at Covid-19 treatment establishment No.2 located at the General Hospital of Quang Nam Medical College, which is under Quang Nam General Hospital.
Although the Covid-19 epidemic is being controlled, there is an increase of the number of positive cases of Covid-19, especially seriously ill patients. So, the modern equipment is now necessary.
The modern equipment donated by THACO is really important and significant in the complicated context of Covid-19. It contributes to the fight against Covid-19.
Giving a speech at the donation ceremony, Deputy Chairman Tran Van Tan thanked THACO for the corporation’s support.
Reportedly, THACO has supported over VND 1,100 billion for the national fight against Covid-19 since the outbreak of Covid-19, including VND 47.5 billion for Quang Nam.
