Towards a new generation of Thaco
(QNO) - Truong Hai Auto Corporation (Thaco) has to plan for a new generation in the 4th industrial revolution.
Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh (PM Chinh) paid a visit to Chu Lai- Truong Hai automotive assembly and manufacturing complex on the occasion of his working session in Quang Nam on March 27, 2022.
He was delighted with the corporation’s efforts and achievements, especially in the complicated context of Covid-19.
At the same time, he also highly appreciated Thaco’s strategies for its development in the fields of automobiles, mechanical engineering, and agriculture.
Good impression
Thaco is planning to spend around VND 9 trillion on its activities in 2022.
The corporation consists of 2 sub-corporations- Thaco Auto and Thagrico, 4 members (Thaco Industries, Thadico, Thilogi and Thiso).
Thaco is specialising in heavy industry, agriculture, logistics, commerce, and infrastructure construction; so, investors are quite interested in the corporation’s activities.
In 2022, Thaco plans to reach sales of 125,000 vehicles and open 42 more showrooms.
Thaco Auto will focus intensively on the development of technology and smart features, of electric passenger cars, and other kinds according to customer requirements under the brand of Thaco.
In terms of services and spare parts, Thaco Auto sets a target to reach more than VND 6,500 billion in 2022. The corporation will set up 42 more showrooms.
In another aspect, Thagrico, owning 48,500 hectares of arable land in Central Highlands and Cambodia, will focus on organic agriculture, striving to harvest about 400,000 tons of fruit and 2000 tons of natural latex rubber, planting 1,500 hectares of fruit trees such as banana, pine apple, and mango.
Thaco with a new mission
Thaco is now a multi-sector corporation (industry, agriculture, services), participating in the global value chain.
According to PM Chinh, Thaco is running well in the right direction. The corporation has mastered the mechanical industry- the foundation of modern industry that will also support foreign investment attraction.
He also proposed Thaco to keep on infrastructure construction and development. Concurrently, PM Chinh suggested that Quang Nam attract more big investors for the local socio-economic growth.
PM Chinh recognized Thaco’s achievements and advised the corporation to promote the efficiency, build and develop a new generation of Thaco with bravery and capacity to become a foundation of national and regional industrial development in the 4.0 era.
On this occasion, PM Chinh visited Chu Lai sea port and airport.
