The project is aimed at preserving grey-shanked douc langurs in Tam My Tay community forest effectively until January 2024, contributing to the local economic development via community-based tourism.

Thereby, the tourism model will be replicated, promoting biodiversity conservation.

Accordingly, 60 hectares of Tam My Tay community forest will be converted into special-use forest, improving forest rangers’ capacities of forest protection and wildlife monitoring.

Additionally, the project will pilot a community-based ecotourism programme to help local people get accustomed to providing tourism services and improve their income.

At the same time, a plan is developed to maintain the sustainability of Tam My Tay.
