Tourism survey in Loc Yen ancient village
(QNO) - A delegation from the Quang Nam Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Swiss Sustainable Tourism Program has just done a survey at Loc Yen cultural tourism village in Tien Canh commune of Tien Phuoc district (Quang Nam province).

The survey aims to set up a green tourist destination there meeting the Quang Nam provincial criteria for green tourism.
Loc Yen village covering an area of 279 hectares is located in a valley. There remain 8 ancient houses, including thatched and pillar ones with unique and sophisticated architecture.
So, they are always highly appreciated in terms of techniques and fine arts. In 2019, the village was recognised as a national relic by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam.
With the aims of preserving and promoting cultural and artistic values of Loc Yen ancient village, speeding up the local tourism development, Tien Phuoc authorities have encouraged the local residents to protect the charming peaceful ancient space of the village via re-beautifying their gardens, green fences and stone alleys; restoring the ancient houses and typical traditional handicrafts.

After the survey, the delegation suggested developing Loc Yen village into a green tourist attraction meeting the provincial green tourism criteria.
At the same, Loc Yen village will also be connected with other tourism sites for the local sustainable tourism development.
