Mekong Tourism Forum 2022
(QNO) - The Mekong Tourism Forum 2022 will take place at Hoiana Resort & Golf in Duy Xuyen district (Quang Nam province, Vietnam) from the 9th to 14th of October.
Under the theme “Rebuild Tourism, Rebound with Resilience”, the forum will be the first interactive in-person event convening public- and private-sector tourism leaders and experts from the Greater Mekong Sub-region since the Covid-19 pandemic began.
It is also an event of the Vietnam’s National Tourism Year – Quang Nam 2022.
The forum will focus on megatrends that affect tourism recovery; solutions for tourism recovery, including policies, regulations and investment, especially nature-based and technological measures.
Present at the event are representatives from Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, national tourism agencies of different countries, Asian Development Bank, Destination Mekong, Agoda, Asia-Pacific Travel Association, OAG, YAANA Ventures, EXO Travel, Travelife, ASEAN Tourism Association, etc.
The Mekong Tourism Forum is an annual event in the Greater Mekong Sub-region. It was first held in 1996.
The event is aimed at providing a cooperative platform for travel and tourism stakeholders to discuss regional tourism development, along with the marketing and promotion of travel to, from, and within the Greater Mekong Sub-region.
It presents an inclusive, interactive, and results-oriented opportunity to encourage public- and private-sector participation in promoting the Greater Mekong Sub-region as a single destination.
