Vietnam welcomes nearly 2 million foreign tourists in 9 months
(QNO) - According to the General Statistics Office (GSO), Vietnam welcomed nearly 2 million foreign tourists in the first 9 months of this year, 16.4 times higher than the same period last year.
Total revenue from accommodation and catering services reached 430.9 trillion VND in 9 months, a 54.7% rise year over year.
The travelling services earned about 18.2 trillion VND, an increase of 3.9 times compared to the same period last year.
According to Chairman of the Vietnam Tourism Association Vu The Binh, Vietnam tourism is being recovered.
Nearly 2 million international tourists to Vietnam showed the attraction of Vietnam tourism, bringing a hope of an explosion of international tourists to Vietnam in the remaining months of 2022.
Reportedly, the Mekong Tourism Forum 2022 under the theme “Rebuild Tourism, Rebound with Resilience” will take place in Quang Nam province from the 9th to 14th of October.
The event will focus on megatrends that affect tourism recovery, solutions for tourism recovery, including policies, regulations and investment, especially nature-based and technological measures.
