Quang Nam welcomes 4.7 millions tourist arrivals in 2022
(QNO) - The closing ceremony of the National Tourism Year - Quang Nam 2022 was organised in Họi An city (Quang Nam province) on December 22 by the Ministry of Cultural, Tourism and Sports and the Quang Nam provincial People’s Committee.
Reportedly, there are more than 4.7 million arrivals to Quang Nam in 2022. The total tourism revenue is about 3,780 billion VND and the social income from tourism is about 8,883 million VND.
Hoi An city (Quang Nam province) won several prestigious awards in the world including Asia’s leading Cultural Destination, the best city in Asia, the most romantic destination in the world.
Speaking at the event, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam Nguyen Thanh Hong affirmed the biggest achievement of the National Tourism Year 2022 was to promote tangible and intangible cultural values, unique new tourism products to domestic and international visitors.
Green tourism development especially contributed to further enhancing the position and image of the country and people of Vietnam in general and Quang Nam in particular, promoting the tourism recovery and development after the COVID-19 pandemic.
Giving his speech at the event, Chairman of the Quang Nam provincial People’s Committee Le Tri Thanh stated Quang Nam is focusing on green tourism to attract tourists.
According to Deputy General Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism Ha Van Sieu, more than 4.7 million arrivals to Quang Nam in 2022 was an impressive number, contributing to local socio-economic development, showing a positive signal for Vietnam's tourism recovery in 2023.
