Smart tourism ecosystem
(QNO) - More and more tourist attractions updated on the Internet, along with multilingual voiceover and digital maps, are forming a smart tourism ecosystem in Vietnam.
Zoe - a French girl, visits My Son Sanctuary with her boyfriend from Canada.
She chooses to use the multilingual audio guide for their sightseeing and feels satisfied with it when everything is described and explained in French.
It may be said that the multilingual integration and scientifically organised information system in My Son Sanctuary are attractive and impressive to visitors, especially foreigners.
The multilingual audio guide in My Son Sanctuary came into operation in June 2023, including four languages: English, French, Korean, and Vietnamese. Visitors to My Son can choose the information they want to get and the language suitable for them.
Going to My Son Sanctuary, visitors can choose to use a QR code and/or audio guide with headphones available.
Earlier, a VR360 website designed for the whole My Son Sanctuary was put into use. It is integrated with an automatic voiceover system, generally introducing the heritage to visitors, and a 3D digital museum on Bizverse World.
Another tourist attraction, Tam Thanh mural village, located in Tam Ky city (Quang Nam province), was also integrated on an online digital map in October 2023.
Then, other places were in turn included, such as Bai Say-Song Dam (Reed Swamp and Dam River), Ky Anh Tunnels, the Vietnamese Heroic Mother Statue, and the Temple of Literature.
Providing experiences on digital platforms has increasingly been hoped and expected, especially smart tourism systems, since the Covid-19 pandemic.
Digital tourism is forecasted to become a new tourism resource. It is the fastest way to bring tourism information to visitors.
Reportedly, Vietnam has digitalized all the data on tour guides, travel agencies and businesses, local accommodation establishments, and tourist attractions.
In addition, a number of supporting applications on mobile devices have been provided, facilitating visitors’ experiences and the state’s management.
