Quang Nam and South Korea beef up cooperation
(QNO) - On November 14, Secretary of the Quang Nam provincial Party Committee, Phan Viet Cuong, warmly received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of South Korea to Vietnam, Choi Youngsam.
At the reception, Secretary Cuong briefly informed his guest of Quang Nam’s socio-economic growth, official development assistance (ODA), and aid from South Korean non-governmental organizations (NGOs) for Quang Nam, mainly in the fields of health and education.
He also talked about the friendly cooperative relationships between Quang Nam’s localities and South Korean partners.
At the same time, Secretary Cuong hoped South Korean Ambassador Choi Youngsam would act as a bridge to call on more businesses from his country to learn about investment opportunities in Quang Nam.
Secretary Cuong suggested the South Korean Embassy support Quang Nam’s seasonal workers to work in South Korea and post-project support for Quang Nam Children's Hospital, Tam Ky smart city, Tam Thanh mural village.
Ambassador Choi Youngsam highly valued Quang Nam leaders' support for South Korean businesses’ operations in the province.
However, he said the Quang Nam authority should create more favourable conditions for South Korean employees to work in South Korean businesses in Quang Nam.
