Forest restoration and livelihood development projects
(QNO) - Vice Chairman of the Quang Nam provincial People's Committee Ho Quang Buu has just had a meeting with the delegation from the World Wide Fund for Nature in Viet Nam (WWF-Viet Nam) to discuss forest restoration and livelihood development projects.
The meeting aimed to discuss cooperative projects between the two sides, including the carbon and biodiversity conservation project (CarBi) in the 2nd phase, the 2nd component of biodiversity conservation, sustainable supply chains, community empowerment, improvement of forest resilience and biodiversity, the role of communities and social organizations in conservation work in central Truong Son, plastic waste management in Vietnam, and the urgent need to save Saola from the brink of extinction.
Besides, the meeting talked about the projects such as forest restoration and livelihood development in Tay Giang district, the role of communities and social organizations in conservation work in central Truong Son in the 2nd phase, forest restoration and livelihood development project in Tay Giang district.
Vice Chairman Buu expressed his delight at the successful outcomes of WWF – Vietnam’s ongoing and completed projects in Quang Nam. He said the province hoped to have more projects via WWF-Viet Nam in the coming time.
