(QNO) - The  project on the Japanese Covered Bridge renovation in Hoi An has been carried out for 10 months. The project finished dismantling the bridge and consolidating the foundation.

Reportedly, the Japanese Covered Bridge was built in Hoi An city (Quang Nam) at the beginning of the 17 century. It now becomes a symbol of the ancient town on the bank of the Hoai river.

Therefore, the renovation project on the Japanese Covered Bridge was approved by the Quang Nam leaders and started in December 2022 with the participation of the Hoi An People’s Committee as an investor, the Centre for Cultural Heritage Management and Preservation of Hoi An as an implementor, the Centre for Relics Consultation and Conservation- Institute for Relics Conservation as a consultant.
