Beautiful Cham Islands

(QNO) - Cham Islands was a stop for foreign merchants from Japan, China and Western countries, contributing to the promotion of Vietnam’s marine economy as well as the establishment and growth of Hoi An (Quang Nam province).

People in Cham Islands are very conscious of protecting what belongs to nature. Cham Islands Natural Conservation Zone was set up in 2003 by the Government of Vietnam, with the support of Danish Government. It is home to 1,500ha of tropical forests and 6,700ha of sea featuring a wide range of marine fauna and flora, including many endangered species such as salangane (swallows), the long-tailed monkey and the crab-eating macaque (Macaca fascicularis).

Cham Islands was recognized as a World Biosphere Reverse on 19 May, 2009 by UNESCO. It is a great honor not only to this island cluster, but also to the country, demonstrating the local people’s tireless efforts to preserve the bio-diversification here. Cham Islands is cool all year round, even in summer, the hottest season here. On summer nights, stars on the sky and the lights from fishing boats make the space more sparkling.

 

Cham Island is very famous not only for its neglected beauty, clean beaches, white sand but also for the corals found for the first time in Vietnam to attract scientists’ attention.

Every In summer, Cham Islands welcomes more than 4,000 tourists per day. who like Visitors come here to enjoy the fresh air, enjoy delicious seafood and contemplate the corals.
