Green tourism in mountainous areas
(QNO) -Â Mountainous areas from Quang Nam to Quang Binh provinces are developing green tourism based on local natural and cultural values.
This contributes to improving livelihoods and raising incomes for mountainous communities.
Ta Lang community-based tourism village is an example for the success in tourism development.
It is located on the legendary road named Ho Chi Minh, belonging to Bha Lee commune, Tay Giang district, Quang Nam province.
The tourism village was founded with the support from the USAID Green Annamites Project, the Vietnam Tourism Association, and the Vietnam Community-based Tourism Association.
Going to Ta Lang community-based tourism village, visitors can find that all the utensils are environmentally friendly. They are made of bamboo, rattan, wood, leaves, etc.
Besides, visitors can do some sightseeing around the village, visiting wicker craft and brocade weaving villages, enjoying traditional Co Tu foods and drinks, and taking part in their traditional art performances.
Most of the villagers are aware of the importance of green tourism development.
Green tourism helps protect environment and natural resources, preserve and promote indigenous cultural values. Moreover, green tourism supports to improve the local life.
