A chance to attract Indian tourists
(QNO) - Vietnam is witnessing a strong rise in Indian tourist numbers. It is also a chance for Quang Nam to allure these tourists.
According to the General Statistics Office, there were about 278 thousand Indian visitors to Vietnam in the first 9 months of this year, ranking 10th among the leading markets of Vietnam’s tourism or recovering 240% over the same period of 2019.
It proves that Vietnam has gradually become a favorite destination for Indian tourists.
In the first 6 months of 2023, Hoi An city (Quang Nam province) received over 20,000 Indian visitors, entering the top 10 largest international tourist markets in Quang Nam.
Speaking at the training session recently held in Hoi An with the participation of local travel businesses on learning about the Indian tourism market, former Ambassador of Vietnam to India Ton Sinh Thanh said Central Vietnam and India have many similarities.
So, it will be easier to adapt by attracting more Indian tourists to Central Vietnam, especially with resort tourism and MICE (activities combined with seminars, conferences, rewards, and events) tourism.
Recently, an event to promote Quang Nam tourism in India’s Mumbai city has been organized by the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
At the event, a cooperation agreement on supporting tourism promotion was signed by the Quang Nam’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Bliss Hoi An Resort & Wellness and Innovations India Advertising & Events Private Limited.
In addition, a cooperation agreement on exchanging tourist sources in the near future was signed by the Quang Nam Tourism Association and the Indian Tourism Association.
