Central Vietnam’s tourism promoted in Malaysia

(QNO) - The Tourism Roadshow of Central Vietnam including Quang Nam - Da Nang - Thua Thien Hue took place at the World Trade Center Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) on the 23rd October 2023.

The roadshow was oragnised by the tourism industry of three localities of Quang Nam, Da Nang and Thua Thien Hue that cooperated with the Malaysia - Vietnam Friendship Association.

The roadshow was attended by representatives of Embassy of Vietnam in Malaysia, International Tourism Promotion Division (Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board), Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents, and over 100 representatives from airlines, travel agencies, tourism companies and media agencies in Malaysia.

At the event, the tourism industry of Quang Nam, Da Nang, and Thua Thien Hue organized various activities to introduce tourism destinations, new tourism products and services to their partners in Malaysia.

The roadshow comprised film screening and images of the three localities' culture, tourism, and OCOP (One Commune, One Product) products. It also offered a B2B environment for travel companies to promote, sell their products and seek cooperation opportunities.

On this occasion, a Memorandum of Understanding on communication cooperation and tourism promotion was signed by the Tourism Promotion Centers of central localities of Quang Nam - Da Nang - Thua Thien Hue and the Malaysia - Vietnam Friendship Association.

The event aimed to promote tourism among Malaysian and ASEAN travelers as well as other transition markets, which is anticipated to be a significant international market of Quang Nam - Da Nang - Thua Thien Hue.

In the first half of 2023, Malaysia was among the top 10 largest international tourism markets of Quang Nam, accounting for 5.6% of the total international visitors to the province.
