Attracting visitors via local dishes
(QNO) - Culinary culture is considered an important factor in a tourist destination, contributing to attracting more visitors
In September 2023, three dishes in Quang Nam culinary culture were recognised as Vietnam’s typical dishes, including Quang noodles, Cao lau, crushed rice crackers (bánh đập).
Previously, the dishes, such as Cau Mong barbequed veal, Hoi An chicken rice, and bamboo chicken in Le Pass, put Quang Nam on Vietnam's culinary map.
In addition, wonton, Cao lau, bread are must-try dishes for visitors in Hoi An.
Recently, a large number of visitors have enjoyed start-up Canh’s Mi Quang Nieu (Quang Nieu noodle with the sauce is boiled in the claypot) processed with local raw materials in Cam Thanh, Hoi An. Mi Quang Nieu has become part of the local cultural essence.
Besides, Quang Nam province focuses on developing green tourism after COVID-19.
The "waste-free meal" product at Field restaurant (Cam Thanh commune, Hoi An city) is probably the "flagship" to concretize this effort in the culinary field.
