Seizing foreign investment opportunities
(QNO) - An online meeting between Vietnamese Prime Minister and foreign investors took place on the morning of April 22 with the participation of 63 local provinces and cities and 80 foreign broadcast bridges. Chairman of the Quang Nam provincial People's Committee Le Tri Thanh attended the meeting.
Seizing the opportunity
According to Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, foreign investment plays an important role in Vietnam’s economy.
Therefore, it is necessary for Vietnamese localities to seize the opportunity and better the efficiency of foreign investment cooperation.
In the complicated context of the global and local economic situation, Vietnamese localities and businesses are required to identify opportunities or challenges in order to have suitable policies and solutions for the local socio-economic development.
The role of FDI enterprises
According to Chairman Thanh from Quang Nam, the FDI enterprises in Quang Nam are strongly developing, becoming a dynamic economic area, making positive contributions to the local socio-economic development.
Reported, Quang Nam is always facilitating foreign investment, supporting to do overseas economic projects, helping them with difficulties in site clearance and investment procedure.
Quang Nam is making every effort to upgrade the provincial infrastructure, promote the local economic development, and improve the investment environment.
So, a large number of foreign investors have chosen Quang Nam for their investment, gradually becoming an attractive local and foreign investment location on the world’s map.
Reportedly, there are now over 83 hundred businesses in operation in Quang Nam. 194 of them are FDI projects with a total capital of approximately USD 6.06 billion, focusing on processing and manufacturing industry, tourism and services.
Foreign investors in Quang Nam come from 30 countries and territories.
