Sekong’s high-level delegation visits THACO

(QNO) - A high-level delegation from Sekong province (Laos) led by its Governor Lechlay Sivilay had a working visit to THACO (Truong Hai Auto Company) on September 14.

At the meeting, THACO General Director Pham Van Tai briefly talked about THACO’s foundation and development.

THACO has recently expanded its investment in the agricultural - forestry complex, electricity grids, irrigation systems, machine and mechanization...in Sekong and Attapeu (Laos).

THACO AGRI Company also attended an event to promote investment, trade and tourism cooperation between Vietnam, Laos, and Thailand in Pakse (Laos) in April 2023.

At the event, THACO AGRI Company presented the strategy for large-scale organic agricultural production; industrial management via a closed, integrated and circular value chain; smart agricultural village model in Attapeu; display of key fruit products such as bananas, pineapples, mangoes...

THACO is planning to invest in Se Kong province this year, focusing on fruits, ensuring the supply value chain in Southern Laos. The company hoped to receive supports from Sekong province.

Governor Lechlay Sivilay expressed his pleasure when THACO chooses Sekong to continue investing in agriculture. He said Sekong authority will create favorable conditions for THACO’s projects.

On this occasion, the delegation visited THACO's automobile, mechanical, and spare parts assembly factories and Chu Lai port (Nui Thanh district).
