Ba Ba Hoi Cooperative exports Banh Chung to the United States
(QNO) - A container carrying 10 tonnes of Banh Chung (Vietnamese square sticky rice cake) for vegetarians has been exported to the United States (U.S) by Ba Ba Hoi Cooperative (Tam Ky city, Quang Nam province).
On October 24, Ba Ba Hoi Cooperative sent 10 tonnes of Banh Chung (about 32 thousand cakes) to Ho Chi Minh City to export them to the U.S by sea.
This number of Banh Chung will be on the shelves of supermarkets in the U.S starting in mid-December this year.
The main raw materials for this vegetarian Banh Chung product are local sticky rice and green beans.
It is reported that the products of Banh Chung by Ba Ba Hoi Cooperative are made under strict quality control procedures to meet the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s standards, and can be exported via an official channel.
Previously, at the end of July 2023, Ba Ba Hoi Cooperative also successfully exported a shipment of 10 tonnes of braised mackerel scads to the U.S market. The product was highly appreciated for its quality.
