South Korean Cultural Days in Quang Nam province: An opportunity for cultural and investment cooperation

(QNO) - South Korean Cultural Days 2017, an event of diplomacy, culture, economy, tourism and education between Vietnam and South Korea will take place in Tam Ky city and Nui Thanh district, Quang Nam province on December 15-16.

According to Vice Chairman of Quang Nam People’s Committee Le Tri Thanh, the event aims to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between Vietnam and South Korea (December 12, 1992-December 12, 2017) and welcome ASEAN-South Korea Cultural Exchange Year 2017. It also helps to strengthen mutual understanding, tighten the cooperation and friendship between Quang Nam province and localities of South Korea. The event started with the South Korean Film Week held by the South Korean Cultural Centre in Vietnam in coordination with South Korean Embassy in Vietnam, the Quang Nam People’s Committee and South Korean Film Council (KOFIC) on December 11. Besides, a series of cultural, economic and tourist activities will be organized. Director of the South Korean Cultural Centre in Vietnam Kim Hye Jin hoped to introduce her country’s diverse culture and daily life to Tam Ky city’s people. An image exhibition of South Korean and Quang Nam’s land and people will take place on December 15. At the same day, the cooperative agreement on culture between Quang Nam and South Korean Cultural Centre will be signed, along with activities of culture, art and  investment promotion.

Especially, the South Korean investor meeting programme 2017 will happen in Chu Lai-Truong Hai auto manufacture and assembly complex to introduce Quang Nam’s potentials, strengths and images to them. On this occasion, South Korean investors will survey some investment destinations. South Korea is the largest investor into Quang Nam with 40 projects now. A night of Vietnam-South Korea cultural exchange will be organized in Tam Ky city’s Square 24.3 with the participation of students from South Korea and Quang Nam colleges.
