Closing ceremony of the South Korean Days in Quang Nam
(QNO) - The two- day event of South Korean Days in Quang Nam with a series of interesting and meaningful activities was closed on the evening of December 16. The event aimed to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between Vietnam and South Korea (December 12, 1992-December 12, 2017). Present at the closing ceremony in Square 24/3 in Tam Ky city were representatives of the Quang Nam People’s Committee, South Korean Embassy in Vietnam, some of international organizations, localities, businesses, South Korean colleges, visitors and local people.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Director of the Quang Nam provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Dinh Hai said the programme of South Korean Days in Quang Nam province was very successful with many activities in Tam Ky city and Chu Lai Open Economic Zone. Some programmes bearing the mark of the cooperative relationship included the cultural and art exchange between Dongdeok University, Gwangyang city (South Korea) and Quang Nam University; the South Korean Film Week in Quang Nam, the exhibition of people and land images of South Korea and Quang Nam, Vietnam; signing the cooperative agreement on culture between Quang Nam and South Korean Cultural Centre, the meeting to share experiences in building new rural residential area, the seminar to build Tam Ky smart urban area, Vietnam-South Korea friendship festival, the exchanges between South Korean and Quang Nam’s universities, meeting South Korean investors in 2017.

Mr. Dinh Hai affirmed these important activities helped Quang Nam province and the localities of South Korea have more experiences and new orientations in sustainable cooperation in socio-economic, cultural, educational, environmental and urban development and others. The South Korean Days in Quang Nam is an opportunity for the province to propagate the local tourism such as two World Cultural Heritages of Hoi An ancient town and My Son Sanctuary and attract more South Korean investors to the province.
