Réhahn's "Hidden Smile" photo offered to French President

(QNO) - The Réhahn’s “Hidden Smile” photo has just been offered to French President Emmanuel Macron by General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong on the occasion of his official visit to France.

President Macron thanked General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong for the gift. He also expressed his thanks to French photographer Réhahn. In his opinion, the image of the smile in the photo is regarded as the beauties of Vietnam and of the cooperative relationship between two countries, Vietnam and France.

The character in the Réhahn’s “Hidden Smile” photo is Mrs Bui Thi Xong (74 years old), a Hoianian in Quang Nam province. More than 200 articles about this famous photo have appeared on international newspapers such as National Geographic, Los Angeles Times. The photo is displayed at the Vietnamese Women’s Museum in Ha Noi, Vietnam.

After visiting Hoi An  in 2011, Réhahn decided to choose this city as his second homeland, where he sets up the Precious Heritage Museum to exhibit more than 200 photos relating to Vietnamese ethnic minorities’ diversified cultures and more than 30 Vietnamese original costumes taken by himself.  He is called the person who saves his characters' souls.
