Quang Nam participates in Meet Europe 2018

(QNO) - The Meet Europe 2018 has just been organized in Ha Noi city by the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs,  Hanoi city People's Committee in co-ordination with the delegation of the European Union (EU) and European Chamber of Commerce (EuroCham) in Vietnam. The event aimed to strengthen the effective cooperation between Vietnamese localities and European partners.

Present at the Meet Europe 2018 were Prime Minister of Vietnam Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Ambassador Bruno Angelet- and Head of the EU delegation to Vietnam, EU’s non-governmental organizations, representatives of more than 500 European businesses, Vice Chairman of Quang Nam provincial People’s Commmittee Le Tri Thanh and Director of the Center for Public Administration and Investment Promotion of Quang Nam province Vo Van Hung.

The conference focused on promoting the cooperation in seven key areas: high quality products such as car, fashion; green technology (renewable energy, waste/water management, sustainable home and smart cities);  agriculture and fisheries; infrastructure, urban planning and logistics; production and manufacture (industry 4.0, hi-quality vocational training); health and pharmacy; tourism.

On the sidelines of the conference, presentatvies of Quang Nam province had a working session with representatives from Croatia Embassy, Departments of Trade and Technology of Italy and Northern European countries in Vietnam. The meeting aimed to introduce the investment environment of Quang Nam province as well as call for supporting Quang Nam in investment attraction.

Besides, Quang Nam leaders hoped European businesses to invest in some areas of their interest such as manufacturing engineering, renewable energy, agriculture-forestry-fisheries; tourism; health and education.
