(QNO) - Under the theme “Solidarity, friendship and development”, the culture, sports, and tourism festival for ethnic minority communities along the Vietnam-Laos border of Vietnam’s Central and Central Highlands was held in Thua Thien Hue province last week. The delegation of Quang Nam province took part in the event.

There were about 600 ethnic artists, actors and athletes from Kon Tum, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Quang Tri, Thua Thien-Hue and four artistic delegations from Central Laos in the festival. It was a chance for the ethnic minority communities in the Vietnam-Laos border area to display and propagate their cultural and tourist products.

The festival aims to raise awareness and responsibility for building and developing cultural identities of ethnic groups, combine sports and tourism development with socio-economic growth. The Viet-Lao friendship will be tightened.
